Twenty hectares of vineyards with Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet varieties, three thousand olive trees, one hundred hectares of deciduous forest where mushrooms and truffles grow, a hunting reserve with pheasants, hares, fallow deer, and wild boars, and bees of a thousand colors. All of this is nature at Piaggia. At Piaggia, wine and extra virgin olive oil have always been produced, there are truffles, mushrooms, and excellent wildflower honey is obtained. The cultivation of wheat – suspended in the 1980s – has recently been resumed by selecting traditional varieties with which organic flour and pasta from ancient grains are produced. The choice is that of conscious agriculture that respects the rhythm of the seasons. The project will be completed with livestock farming, which includes the reopening of the stable within the next five years.
